Viking Model J-1 Alarm Check is a diaphragm-operated control valve designed for deluge fire protection systems. It remains closed by water pressure trapped in the control chamber, keeping downstream piping dry until the fire detection and releasing system activates. Upon release of control chamber pressure, the valve opens to allow water into the system piping. Features include a lightweight design, compact footprint, straight-through flow path, hydraulic or electric release, remote operation capability, low pressure loss, and automatic resetting. Available with flanged or grooved connections. cULus Listed and FM Approved.
